Prof. Dr. med. Josef Rüschoff is a visiting Professor of Pathology at the University of Gottingen; Co-founder/Chief Medical Officer of Targos GmbH and Head of Pathologie Nordhessen, Germany. Prof. Rüschoff obtained his medical degree (Dr. med.) / German State Board Qualification in Anatomical Pathology at the Institute of Pathology, Medical School, Marburg /Justus-Liebig University, Giessen and the University of Wisconsin Medical School, USA. Previously, he was acting Director, Department of Gastroenteropathology, University of Göttingen; Director of the Institute of Pathology, Klinikum Kassel; University Professor at the Institute of Pathology, University of Regensburg; Dean of Students Affairs, Medical faculty, University of Regensburg; Speaker of the Gastrointestinal Pathology Consortium of the German Society of Pathology (DGP); Board Member of the German Society of Pathology (DGP) and award winner of the Hessische Cancer Society.

He has participated in more than 300 clinical trials pertaining to breast, gastric, lung and skin cancers (e.g., HERA, ToGA, CLEOPATRA, TAnDEM, NOAH, AVAGAST, KATHERINE).
